Just wanted to thank Kim Kaya and others for their lovely messages (public
and private). And if the List Administrator ever decides to try Jim
Dantin's thoughtful suggestion, sign me up for the DOGS sublist! (I'm happy
to leave the ISSUES sublist in the hands of breeders and others more
experienced with club-matters, etc.) Janice is right that having threads
(or subject lines) often doesn't do the job...

Kim - thank you!

I joined this list as a source of quality information regarding my dog.
While I realize that the quality of the breed is dependent on the quality of
the breeders, the never-ending whining about judges, rules, AKC/CKCS, and
other PEOPLE issues seriously detract from the quality of Cavalier
information.

Like has happened in many other special-interest lists, I respectively
suggest that the time has come for the group to consider splitting the
discussion into sub-lists. One could be for the DOGS, and a second for the
ISSUES.

Limit the DOGS list to health, training, breeding, and the joy (and
sometimes heartbreak) of Cavaliers. This list would be a place to share
information and learn.

The ISSUES list could be the venue of all subjects related to shows, rules,
clubs, and other people-related issues. Here the opinions and personalities
could take the stage and not overwhelm the needs of the dogs themselves.

I agree with Jim's suggestion that we should have some way to identify
the "people" vs. "dog" issues. I know we have threads that should tell
us what the discussion is about but we do tend to get off topic so
that's not always helpful.

Thank you, Kim, for your fine work administering this list.
