Jeanie, You are so right. I dont know what i was thinking really. I'm honestly not that worried about the show, I just have heard breeders say that they have fed differently before shows. Maybe this was referring to adult dogs . I can see how growing too fast/ before he's ready, isnt a good idea. (and he's definately heavy enuf already!!)

There is no way you can make a dramatic difference in 2 weeks by extra feeding alone. Good strong hindquarters develop with age and exercise - gentle walking, and free running galloping. make sure he is properly wormed and on a good balanced diet and just be patient...........
