List. My suggestion "wouldn't it be nice..." was purely a personal thought that I had in view of the recent mountain of post generated by the OLD versus NEW thread. It seems to have got a little out of control. While enthusiasm should not be dampened and steps should be taken so that apathy does not set in, it has to be thought through as to the practicalities. Picking a venue and a show committee is way too premature to my way of thinking.
For a start I would think that the mood of the people has to be gauged. Perhaps not everyone in both Clubs wants unity. Maybe they like things the way they are and their opinions have to be respected. That is why I would think it prudent to try to ascertain what people actually want before steamrollering ahead. A petition is probably the wrong choice of words. A survey would be better. I certainly do not have the right or even the desire to get involved with your domestic arrangements. This is not "Simon says" and I am not Simon! LOL. But I think I am not the only one overseas that wishes there was no "us" and "them".
