It seems to me that Marilyn was upset because the rule (no forwarding) was broken and because Ms. Lessig was (seemingly) being blamed for something that was the fault of the club and not the chairperson.
I'm really surprised at what seems an attack or at least serious criticism toward what was simply an opinion. I've attended three ACKCSC specialties. The first actually a match was just as expected. The second in a ball room was, in my opinion, a bit of a disappointment. The ring was tiny, the lighting bad and it was very difficult to see the dogs standing much less on the move. The third was outdoors and cold, wet, and muddy..but I had a great time...Anyone that was so inclined got an excellent look at all of the dogs..standing and on the move. So I would tend to agree with Marilyn..it would be in the best interest of everyone if it was possible to have larger rings.
