I would not breed without it. I give it to the bitch during the pregnancy and to puppies for about three weeks. I had a litter of 5 get sick and I used it around the clock until they were better. It helps puppies to be even in size and they come out looking for the food. It is wonderful. So glad Lori that your baby is doing better!!
