Another effective remedy to control ticks is to spray a mixture of Ivory
liquid and water all over your yard, sidewalks, stockade fences, sides
of all buildings -- in other words every surface that is exposed to
wherever you keep your dogs. The soap spray actually kills ticks and
other insects. I use a mixture of 1/4-1/2 cup per gallon in a hose end
sprayer every two weeks.

I learned this from a tick list and have just started using it this
spring but those who have used it before swear by it. I have been doing
this for about a month and haven't seen a tick on my dogs since I
started doing it.

Hope this helps.
