My first reaction was alarm when I saw that insert in the latest Bulletin , and I've been mystified ever since... It seems to me that the Club should have presented a clear *explanation* of its support of the DDAL before asking its members to support that organization. All I found in the Bulletin (pp. 16-17) is the text of what appears to be a press release produced by the DDAL. This was followed only by the Ethics Committee's brief request for signatures and contributions. Pending any explanation, I hope individual club members will think for themselves. I threw the petition-form in the garbage. Alida

What ever are you thinking of!?!?! This organization is out to close down ALL hobby breeders and probably the purebred dog fancy that we now enjoy! EVERY dog club / organization I am affiliated with is STRONGLY AGAINST this organization and I cannot fathom how you can justify supporting them! They are out to ELIMINATE you! I may be new to Cavaliers, but I am not new to dogs - I have been my local all-breed club's representative to the Virginia Federation of Dog Clubs & Breeders for many years; held office in various specialty and all-breed clubs; am currently a member of several training clubs, all-breed club & specialty clubs. Ever since I have joined the Old Club, I've questioned the decision - as I've learned more & more about the organization. This last piece of the puzzle is adding to the pile that is making me consider withdrawing - Joan Robinson New to Cavaliers - but -- ========================================================= "Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
