The number of eggs has nothing to do with the number of sperm. Each normal
ejaculate has more than enough sperm to repopulate the entire breed.

Of course, mating at the proper time will help increase the size of the
litter. But that, again, is not usually the fault of the stud. Most of the
time when the breeding is delayed, it is because the female refuses to stand
or due to human error. To blame the stud for a small litter shows ignorance.
