Torbutol is what my vet prescribed for pain after a spay - she sent the
medication home with me. I usually go into recovery to help bring them up
out of anathesia- help the techs and watch them individualy- so my
cavalier leaves with me sooner than most who pick up before closing hours-
I give one pill of Torbutol as directed by my vet when I get home which
is a one hour drive. So the dog is almost fully clear of anathesia when I
arrive home and once I settle them in I give a pill when they are coherant
andcan hold the head up .

You mentioned it is unusual for it to prescribed for a spay? What would
warrant this med?
