I suggest you get on the Volhard Nutrition List. It's at
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
The scratching when the heat goes on indicates an internal out of balance
condition that the folks on this list could probably help you with.  Also,
what do you feed? A controlled home prepared raw foods diet may be the
thing. Maybe she needs a change of diet during those months the heat is on.
Again the list mentioned above has some very knowledgeable people on it that
I'm sure can help.
