Well gee.... My marker has always been seven. Ch. Flying Colors Forever In Love was cleared again this year at eight years old.
I took 20 dogs with me for heart and eye testing. All passed eyes and a couple failed of old ones passed the heart examine but they were 8 and up. I tested all my puppies and they all passed their exam. I even took my three remaining wild baby wood ducks. They seemed to enjoy the ride in the motor home. I can not believe how much they have grown in just a few short weeks. They are now starting to get pin feathers and they still sing like canaries. Don't discount a bitch if she develops a murmur after the age of three????? But would you want to breed a bitch at four with a heart murmur? Wouldn't it be bad for the dog to try to carry puppies if her heart is over taxed with a murmur? Thanks Cathy "Paula L. Ayers" wrote: > That is also what he told me, he used the age of 3 though.
