It seems that most of mine reach at least age 7 before developing a murmur of any grade so how hard can it be to set the bar at age 5? I could not imagine setting the bar at age 3! I don't believe I've ever had a Cavalier who developed MVD that early--I would be going backwards! Some have mentioned they wouldn't breed a bitch who had developed MVD no matter what. Thinking only of the welfare of the bitch--would it be truly be any more *dangerous* to breed a 7 year old bitch who had just developed a grade I MVD murmur as compared to a 6.5 year old bitch who was still MVD clear? What do the *experts* on this list think?
