How about trying to convince our National and Regional Breed Clubs to join these sites? What a great way to showcase the active reputable breeders, rather than let the "millers" have their exposure un-checked? Many many people visit these sites...why not reputable links to our National and Regional Clubs? As far as being able to do anything about the removal of certain listings on these sites, it probably cannot be done. Caveat emptor is the phrase that comes to mind.
