I am sorry it has taken so long to get any information out to the list. I have been to
the shelter and talked with the people in charge. As of now this is what I know. The
hearing is tomorrow. The dogs are considered evidence right now and they can not even
be seen by the public. They have to wait for the court to give a decision on what
happens to the dogs. They are in a brand new facility that just opened the first of
the month, it's really nice. So the dogs are in good care. They are bathing, giving
medical attention to those in need. They had to put down two dogs but I don't know
what breed. And one is in critical condition. I gave them the names of local
Cardiologist and Ophthalmologist as well as local vets that have Cavaliers. They have
never had Cavaliers or Charlies before. They were very nice and love the dogs. I was
told the Cavaliers are sleeping on pillows and wagging their tails but some of the
other breeds are barking.
I will attend the hearing tomorrow and will pass on any information I get. At this
point we need to wait for them to tell us what we can do. I thought it might be a good
idea to get a small collection going to help them with the expense they are incurring.
So if any of you want to make donations make the checks out to San Diego Animal
Control Dept. make a note on the check for Cavalier Rescue, send them to me and I will
hand carry them to the people incharge.
Thanks everyone for all your concern.
