May 28th San Diego Rescue Update
Today with the help of many people, three van loads of towels were delivered to
the Shelter, by Tamela, CJ and Patty. They will also receive food from several
companies. The staff was very happy to get them. I took in checks that had been sent
to me and gave them to the Assistant Director. I also gave her our Cavalier Rescue
information so she would understand what we go through to check out a family before
they take one of our rescued dogs. Sandy Gray from the English Toy Club gave her
their rescue information too so she now knows all about our rescue procedures. She
expressed a willingness for our assistance but it is too early to know what the
disposition of the dogs will be. The investigation is ongoing. She was surprised how
happy the dogs seem and how friendly they all are.
I will continue to give you updates as I hear anything but now it's a waiting
game. The next good news we could hear is if the District Attorney makes an
announcement.
Thanks everyone for all the help so far. I can't tell you how great it is to have
everyone working together.
