I have a ruby from a b/t to Blenheim mating and her nose has not ever gone
off...she's 2 years old. I have a 4-year-old Blenheim whose pigment has not
yet faded. I have two Blenheim girls who have faded nose pigment in the
winter and 'better' in the summer...each year their fading gets a little
worse. I have owned some b/t bitches that developed "snow nose" in winter
to varying degrees. "Snow nose is where there is a noticeable lightening of
the front of the nose over the area between the nostrils. this can be ever
so slightly gray or REALLY pink/gray. And suze, you will remember our
favorite "Ollie" who hasn't had a day of faded pigment in all his almost 14
years. It is a 'genetic' thing.
