Hi, Cindy,
With the last pup we had who went a bit south I first hydrated with
pedialyte and then gave nutridrops and fastrack. I began to supplement
her a day later (while she continued to nurse) with GME (Goat's Milk
Esbilac formula). Nutridrops can be obtained from JBpet but you can
also use something like karo syrup to help with the hypoglycemia aspect.
If you have nutrical that also should work. I handled it in this order
1) hydration, 2) hypoglycemia and then 3) weight gain. She is just fine;
hale and hearty at eight weeks now.
Of course you may want to check to make sure there are not cleft palate
problems, etc.
Fastrack is super.....but it is not enough if a puppy is fading. Order
the Fastrack from Kit now (she will overnight it) and by the time you
need it (after hydration and adding sugar) it should be there.
