I have been here at my computer for the past two days reading your notes of
condolescences regarding the death of my 1 year 5 month old ruby cavalier, and I have
to apologize for some past thinking.

I always wondered if it weren't harder for a person who just lost their cavalier to
read through these messages of sorrow. And now I have learned I was very wrong.

The messages I have received have been very lifting for me and it is comforting to
know so many of you know exactly how I am feeling. Yesterday was a very hard day
because yesterday is the day it happened. Today seems to be a harder day--like I'm
just realizing what happened now. And reading all of your letters has been like
sitting on a cloud letting time pass and healing to begin.

I want to thank all of you for your messages of sorrow and let you know how much I
appreciate it. Words can't express my thanks to Rosanne for getting the news out and
for "being there" for me when I needed her and for all of you who have understood and
have been so great with your notes. Thank you all so much.
