Hi,
Glenn has replied to me privately but in view of your response - I will put
this on the list.

My question was pure curiosity - I was not taking a pot shot at the breeder
or implying any criticism at all!
I was just puzzled that anyone who had been breeding more than a litter or
two, could have never had an undershot mouth. If this person has been
breeding for quite a few years, then they have had extraordinary luck if
they have never had an undershot puppy.
Its my personal opinion that a puppy being slightly undershot or reverse
scissor bite is no bar to showing it. So many come right as time passes -
including some of the best winners in the breed!

Even if it remains slightly undershot or a tight reverse scissor, "mated to
the right dog" the bitch could produce something nice in the next
generation.
On the other hand, if she is very undershot - say with the space of one or
two match widths between the lower incisors and the upper, then I don't
think it would be advisable to show her or even breed from her. But I have
seen the most amazing mouths come good so would be patient..............
Jeanie
