AKC dosen't have any rule about Cavaliers haveing slippers or not. This is a breed standard thing. Fun matches are pretty relaxed,fun and a great place to start young dogs for the show ring. Judges might be members of the club sponsering the match or a breeder someone knowes of a different breed. I love fun matches and have never seen anyone asked to leave for any reason. I take that back I did see a GS handler asked to leave as his dog was aggresive to other dogs and handler didn't have good controle of dog. Go and have a good time and good luck.
