This will probably get me in trouble but...

In February when we had our litter from Hilda and one little puppy we
called Miracle( because he survived the night) was so very ill and the
second little girl started to fail, I had some tough decisions to make. I
did take him to the emergency clinic and he did die but I felt that he
needed every opportunity to try to make it. It was heartbreaking for me as
it was again in 4 weeks when the little girl we called Paisley died.

However, if any of our animals were truly suffering and in pain, and we all
know when they are, and my vet refused I would have found another vet
rather than have them suffer unduly. Fortunately, I work very closely with
my vets on our ill or aged animals and we are always in agreement when the
time is right. They have never questioned my decision. They have been
supportive, caring and understanding. It would break my heart to know that
anyone suffered longer than they had to with no relief.
