The vet's attitude was that she wouldn't live out the week so let her die at home, but she lived several months. We kept expecting her to pass away. She did eat well and move around okay, but the problem was that the cancer made it difficult for her to breathe. It was in her neck area and pressing against her trachea. I suppose it was like an asthma patient. We just loved her and made her as comfortable as we could, but it is really hard to go through something like that. I makes me think of the situation where a baby dies in late pregnancy and they make the mother carry the dead child until labor starts on its on. BTW this was a old adult that a buyer brought back for a refund without telling me that the dog was sick. I would have taken the dog back anyway, but it would have been nice to know so we might have had a chance to do something medically. Probably not though, not a lot you can do about cancer. I lost both my parents to the disease. All the best, Susan Cochran
