Hi Barb,

I'm currently feeding a combination of Canidae kibble and ground
chicken wings, with canned jack mackeral or sardines fed weekly,
but here is a sample weekly menu with recipes that I posted to the
CavaliersNaturally list a year ago May:

May 2001 - My Diet for My Adult Cavaliers (avg. 14
- 16 pounds):
This menu and recipes have been modified over time
and will continue to evolve as I continue to observe
my Cavaliers. I am very pleased with all of my dogs
on this diet - coats are looking great, body weight is
very good, stools are firm and regular, and energy
levels are high in puppies and adults alike!

Morning Meals:
*   Sunday - Semi-fast day - 3-4 oz. Chicken
    Wings (whole or ground) or canned Sardines
    (packed in water or tomato sauce)
*   Monday - Turkey & Egg/Veggie Mix (recipe
    below)
*   Tuesday - Beef & Organ Meat & Egg/Veggie
    Mix (recipe below)
* Wednesday - 6-7 oz. Chicken Wings (whole or
    ground)
*   Thursday - Turkey & Egg/Veggie Mix (recipe
    below)
*   Friday - Beef & Organ Meat & Egg/Veggie Mix
    (recipe below)
* Saturday - 6-7 oz. Chicken Wings (whole or
    ground)
Daily per dog with meal: 1 salmon oil cap (1000 mg.)
Evening Meals:
* Daily - 2-3 oz. Chicken Wings for older puppies
    and active young adults
Meat and Veggie Mix Recipes:
Each recipe makes about 3 lbs. of food, which is divided up
into 6 or 7 ounce portions based on the individual dog being
fed.
Turkey & Egg/Veggie Mix
2 lbs. ground turkey
4 large eggs
2 Tbsp flaxseed oil
5/8 cup pulped veggies/fruit*
Powder Mix:
4 tsp Kelp powder
4 tsp Alfalfa powder
2 tsp Barley Grass powder
1.5 tsp Vitamin C powder (7500 mg)
1 tsp Cranberry Comfort powder
200 mg vitamin B complex powder (2 capsules)
220 mg acidophilus powder (2 capsules)
50 mg zinc powder (1 capsule)
1 tsp MSM powder (4000 mg)

To each serving portion add:
1 vitamin E cap (200 I.U.)

Beef & Organ Meat & Egg/Veggie Mix
2 lb. ground beef
8 oz. ground beef liver
4 large eggs
2 Tbsp flaxseed oil
5/8 cup pulped veggies/fruit*
Powder Mix:
4 tsp Kelp powder
4 tsp Alfalfa powder
2 tsp Barley Grass powder
1.5 tsp Vitamin C powder (7500 mg)
1 tsp Cranberry Comfort powder
200 mg vitamin B complex powder (2 capsules)
220 mg acidophilus powder (2 capsules)
50 mg zinc powder (1 capsule)
1 tsp MSM powder (4000 mg)

To each serving portion add:
1 cod liver oil cap (during winter months only)

* - The veggie mix varies from week to week; one week may
be parsley, celery, and collard greens, another week may be
carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower, and yet another may be kale,
zuchinni or yellow squash, and canned pumpkin. I usually add a
few cloves of garlic to the batch of veggies. I make up the
weekly batch using about a pound of veggies and a couple of
ripe bananas. Once the veggies and fruits are pulped and have
been divided into four portions, I add the powder mix and stir
thoroughly, then store in the freezer, just thawing in the
refrigerator for 24 hours before adding to the meat and other
ingredients prior to serving.

Take care, Jackie
