I know exactly what you mean about it being a killer to part with a puppy
that you have almost hand reared.  We had a little singleton once who was
very premature.  I completely hand raised him and just adored him.  Coulter.
  By the time he was six months old, I knew he was a pet and that it would
be better for me to place him.  The problem I had was the idea of trading
pieces of paper for him.....money or a check could never have paid for him
because he was worth five trillion dollars to me.  We finally gave him away
to a previous puppy buyer.  Giving him to a lovely couple as a gift of love
was easier than selling him.  It was the only way I could have parted with
him.  Since then, I've tried so hard to keep my distance emotionally from
the puppies, but it doesn't work very well.  Good luck with your Bruiser.
