Hi, have been reading the stuff about raw feeding and cod liver oil with interest. For anyone that is interested there is a page with links on my site dedicated to BARF and as many people will testify I am always willing to help if you want to email me privately. I do not set myself up as an expert but have been feeding raw for over 3 years, including raising litters on it.
Re cod liver oil, it is my understanding that is hasn't got anything to do with the level of mercury but is related to, too much Vitamin A (I think) when the foetus is developing. Sorry even though it is nearly 3 months since we moved house I still don't have all my books unpacked. >From memory it is no supplementation in the first 2 trimesters and then it is OK.
