I am proud to announce St. Jon We Will Rock You aka "Rocky" (Ch St. Jon Fire and Ice x Ch. St. Jon Lacey Lingerie) who recently left my home to live with Mickey Weyenberg (in Edmond, Alberta, Canada) gained seven points this weekend, 2 of which came from the group ring! This was his first time to enter the conformation ring and the first dog Mickey has ever shown in conformation. I understand this was a small show and there were 2 competitions daily. On Sunday, he went GROUP THIRD and GROUP 4TH. Not bad for a couple of rookies!
Rocky seems to really enjoy the showring as does Mickey, which is a surprise to some who know her. She's been into obedience for so many years and had somehow avoided the conformation ring. She's already talking about specialing him! I think the bug has bitten her pretty hard! Well done Mickey and Rocky!
