We don't start to wean until later. We start weaning somewhere between 5 and 6 weeks. Rarely do we start earlier than that, but it depends on the litter and the dam. Some start eating their mom's food and we take the hint from that. We used to have a set time, but now we just start when they appear to be ready for it. All the best, Susan Cochran
