Pam -- If it makes you feel any better, the "anxiety" works the other way
too. As a pet owner (no desire to breed or show in conformation), what
happens if I decide I want another puppy from a particular line. I go onto
the internet, and post my request -- and maybe get contacted by the Kellys in
the North/South Dakota -- OR contact a few reputable breeders and they think
I'm trying to scam a puppy from them. Either way it's gotten to be very
scary out there.
I think that the real redeeming feature of the internet is that you
ARE able to do research and do some checking by running names through a
search engine. It's always amazing to me what pops up! Afterall, that's how
some found out about Kelly in Dakota.
Don't get upset. It's clear that your intentions were and are
honorable. And I bet that puppy is darling. Only now you have to be careful
because maybe you'll be contacted by the "breeder" who was being discussed
several months ago who was breeding the new rare mini-Cavaliers. <grn>
