What did you do with her first litter? If your efforts were successful, do
it with this one, only give her more food after the litter arrives and don't
forget the calcium supplements after the litter arrives. Be watchful that
all the pups are passing their stools at least once a day and there's no
smell of 'rubber' to the stools.

Why would successful efforts via the first litter not be so with the second?
Don't let her be in labor without assistance if no puppy arrives within an
hour from water breaking. Ask your vet to be available when you
call...whatever the hour.

Why are you asking about the size of the litter? puppies are puppies,
successful techniques in raising puppies are timeless. Have contact with
competant breeders...knowledgeable 'toy people' if possible, and hopefully
your vet is a good one. If you need a c-section, insist your vet use
isoflourene gas as an anesthetic for the bitch. The puppies will not be
born 'anesthetized' under this anesthetic.
