  Hydrocephalus can be treated for a time specific
period with steroids.  However,  over time it results
in liver difficulties.  It can also be treated with a
shunt.  However,  the shunt usually clogs soon after.

   I would advise that you keep the pup until the pup
becomes syptomatic (i.e. seizures).  Then eunthanize
the pup.
