Rosanne, I had a little boy from Kallie's first litter who had the same condition. I knew something was wrong because he looked so different. I asked the vet to check him and she found a very tiny hole. He has turned out to be perfectly normal. I believe that I caused the problem by giving her Cod Liver Oil during the first two trimesters of her pregnancy. I had other birth defects in the litter. This was the first and last time I have had this problem. I have a puppy girl who is twelve weeks old with hydrocephalus, but totally asymptomatic at this point. She is quite small but has a very domed head and her eyes are quite wide apart. She still has a bit of an open fontanel. I had her head xrayed and her brain was very large. I certainly don't expect her to live years, but would like to know your experiences with this condition.
