Carolyn,
I told the vet. that she hadn't been eating well for
a while and I had to feed her several times a day to get
what I thought was enough in her to sustain her and
puppies. He felt that the puppies were takeing so much
of the nutrition that April didn't get enough just like
a human that doesn't get enough nutrition and their
sugar level drops. All of the puppies weighed between 7
3/4 oz.
to 8 1/4 oz. so they were not small puppies. I think i
forgot to say that April had no milk either until she
went on the glucose drip and her milk came down when she
started labor.
My thoughts are with you and Kallie. Let us know how
it goes.
