Hi Carol. Kept forgetting to answer this one. "Silkience" was missing a lower middle tooth when she parted with her baby ones. I hadn't experienced this before and remember discussing it with someone at the time who had a similar experience. She looked at my bitches mouth and saw a whiteness in the gums where the tooth should have been. This was when she was about 5 months old. Very soon later, what looked like a grain of rice appeared on the surface of her gums and this grew quickly into a normal tooth. She never produced this in her puppies. Hope this may reassure you.
