Liz, Pam's suggestion of ice cubes may solve the gulping thing; or, if she
still coughs, you might try giving her water that's cool but not COLD. I
once had a dog that did this (coughed ONCE while drinking water), and no
problems ever resulted from this. I think it's wonderful that you've so
thoroughly examined what's going on with her, and now I'd be inclined to
say, Don't Worry (easier said than done, VBG)...
