Hi Suze,

We used back to basics exclusively for about 5 years and loved the results.
Our dogs coats were full, shiny and soft. We added nothing as a rule. About
a year ago we were concerned especially with our older spayed girl that they
were putting on a bit of weight. Back to basics has a higher fat content
then some other options so we switched to Best in show only to try to get a
similarily or better quality food with lower fat. We very shortly had
problems with anal sacs, our girls hair became brittle and harsh and they
began to suffer dry skin and itching.

We recently switched back to back to basics and are pleased once again that
things seem to be swinging back to the way they were. We are planning on
reducing the amount of kibble for our older or less active girls and
supplementing with frozen vegetables.
