Lucia, I am handicapped and in chronic pain as a result of Lyme Disease and a car accident. I have tried just about everything you can imagine to control pain.
One of my friends is a human chiroprator who now practises on animals. He introduced me to 2 forms of therapy that have dramatically affected me. I am no longer living on Vicodin for pain as a result. The effects are immediate, btw. I cannot say enough about the techniques. The first technique is used with a tool called an Activator. The chiropractor uses an activator to stimulate the nerves in the spine , and the animal will give a quick jerk like movement when an area is out of alignment or needs energy to be released. It works unbelieveable, and is a tool made especially for animals by a vet named Dr. William Inman. He has a website...I will try to get it for anyone who wants to learn more or find a practitioner. The tool that REALLY has helped me and my " kids ", though, is a " CHI MACHINE" or Qi Gong Machine. It is a box, with a telephone like head, with a disk inside that vibrates. The premise is, it uses sound waves to relax the muscles and tissues. Boy, does it work. So well, I bought one! The website to buy one at a relatively reasonable cost ( 500.0 , I think ). www.natural-living.com. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any specific questions.
