Hello Everyone I am pleased to announce that my black & tan bitch Chelsea (Salador Caro
at Corner Creek x Salador Celtic Chea) gave birth to a beautiful litter of four a few days ago. Mom and pups are doing well. The sire of this litter is Lisa Bryant's beautiful Blenheim boy Percy (Salador Columbo at Corner Creek.x Corner Creek Thunderbird). Check out pics of the proud mother and her babes here: http://www.concentric.net/~Rbaron/ChelPup072902.html Special thanks go to Renee Bruns for dropping everything and coming over to my house to assist with the whelping, as the pups were a day early and the first one (the small tri) plopped out rather unexpectedly. The rest were born about six hours later in a little less than two hours. I'm told this is an example of a phenomenon that canine repro specialist Melissa Goodman calls "living in the lobby". By that, she means that one of the puppies isn't all the way up in a uterine horn and plops out hours before the bitch starts having hard contractions. Has anybody else heard of this? Myra, I'm glad to see you've gotten a whole color. Can't wait to see pics of him. Whole colors rock! Janice M.
