Leanne Thanks for your response. I'm almost afraid to ask -- did the puppy survive?
I wasn't prepared for this one -- went to work for about an hour before Bob (who is at home recovering from quintuple bypass surgery) called to tell me the puppy had been born, so the little tri got a little bit chilled and was still wet before I got to him, but he'd only been born for an hour or less so I was able to get him warmed and he pinked right up and is doing fine. Chelsea demonstrated through all of this that she's perfectly capable of having a puppy, tearing off the sac, chewing the umbilical cord and then eating the placenta but boy howdy did this make me nervous! She's just such a great mommy!
