We do have one of those confident dogs. (I have always referred to him as "cocky", rather than confident, but confident sounds nicer.) The problem with one of the confident ones is that they won't always jump through hoops to get a little chunk of food (too demeaning, I'm sure) and they often spend a lot of time in the group ring trying to get acquainted with the pug or the peke or the poodle, or the handler next door, or staring around at the observers and dying to go on over and say howdy. While it is true that he is very, very calm and confident to a fault, he doesn't always stay as animated and focused as his handler would like. And his willingness to have a chat with the guy next door is not always the greatest trait. Myra
