True story: One evening a few months ago I had just finished seeing
patients and soon I noticed Remy had something between his paws he didn't
want me to see, so I had to check it out. I removed a soggy scrap of
paper, no more than an inch long, on which I could still make out the first
part of the signature of my last patient. I phoned her and said "I never
thought I'd get to say this, but My Dog Ate Your Check!!" (Fortunately she
loves Remy AND has a good sense of humor!)
