Ellen Wrote -" since many appear to attribute the tear and chin staining to yeast?"
The past several months we have been switching foods I had been on Pro Plan for as long as I can remember but I needed to look at the signs from the dogs. What made us switch foods was several of the dogs tearing especially the girls that never had experienced any wet eyes, they were wet all the time now. I had pink feet on a few of the blenheims & tri's. One on our old spayed girls entire face went PINK. That is when something needed to be done! I had been happy with ProPlan as I said earlier for many years and I was not sure that when they were bought out the switched formulas. I just wanted to remind everybody keep in mind if you have dogs that are tearing or have pinkish/ reddish feet look into it more rather than look for "Products" to give you a quick fix. I think I have found what I am looking for in a dog food :-) All our faces are dry again no tears and no pink feet. They have been on the new food for about 3 months still not enough time to find out if I will like coat quality or not but at least I feel better feeding them food that won't bother there skin. All of the above symptoms came about over about 2 -3 months. However, I am wondering if anyone has ever used acidophillus (sp?) since many appear to attribute the tear and chin staining to yeast? If so, did you find it helpful? > > Eileen Starks > Mesa, Arizona > > > ___________________________________________________ > Communicate with others using Lycos Mail for FREE! > http://mail.lycos.com > > ========================================================= > "Magic Commands": > to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL > to start it up gain click here: > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL > > E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance. > Search the Archives... http://apple.ease.lsoft.com/archives/ckcs-l.html > > All e-mail sent through CKCS-L is Copyright 2002 by its original author. > ========================================================= "Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
