Good morning list,
I am 1/3 moved into our new house in Colorado Springs coming from atop a
mountain near Pikes Peak, and even in the midst of a move a dream of mine is
about to come true. I have the opportunity to "pump" the breeder of my two
Cavaliers of all information. Long time breeder and World Dog Show judge Hans
Boelaars and his wife, from Lamslag kennel in the Netherlands, are going to
be staying with us off and on in our old house and the new one while they
tour Colorado. They arrive tomorrow. Of course I don't want to bug him too
much talking about breeding theories when they are on vacation, but I can't
resist asking some questions. My first question is to ask him to go over my
two bitches and tell me what he would like to improve. My second is to show
him the pedigrees and photos of studs I am thinking about and see what he
says.
If you had your breeder "trapped" what one question would you ask?
I'm thinking if I squeeze in a question here and there between glasses of
wine and breakfasts and dinners he may not notice. What say you?
We are very excited about their visit. They are lovely people with great
senses of humor.
