don't give up hope yet - DO go get some input from your vet, in case
there is a problem -
However, I have known of other bitches (Labrador) who would more or less
just Stay in season until she was bred - or come back in a week after
going out -
My vet at that time (20 yrs ago now <grin>) said that most likely one of
the cycles wasn't a 'true' cycle - that she probably only ovulated once,
but ... who knows which time .. we did no smears / tests .. just
discussed the situation -

I would see what my vet recommended relative to letting her 'run her
course' or giving her medical intervention to end the season - my
personal feeling being to let nature run its course, unless the vet says
there is a danger in that - Later, see how her NEXT season goes - if it
is more normal, you can chalk this one up to her young body not being
fully operational yet ... if not, you can review things further with
your vet - or perhaps see a reproduction specialist -

You wouldn't likely be breeding her before her 3rd cycle any way - I'd
think - so - you have time ... I don't like to breed my girls until
they are at LEAST 18 months old, or 24 months old - old enough to be
evaluated for structural soundness, as well as eyes, thyroid, etc.

Good luck!
