Hi, I just attended a canine reproduction seminar sponsored by our regional club, COCKS of the Potomac - our featured speaker was Dr. Stephen Escobar. On the subject of frequent cycles, since the uterus is constantly inflamed, there is a higher likelihood of pyrometra (sp). If cycles are too frequent, fertility is questionable. I would take her to a specialist to see if hormone supplementation will solve her problem. As her littermate has similar problem, you must consider if this is an inheritable condition that you want to deal with in your line.
