Hi all, For whatever reason, this time of year draws me to the kitchen. Today I modified a recipe for a doggie breakfast bar and came up with the following:
1 1/3 cups Uncooked oatmeal (dry) 1/2 cup (more or less) Boiling water 1 or 2 Eggs with crushed shell (I used 1 extra large egg) 2 to 3 teaspoons Safflower oil 2 to 3 teaspoons Molasses (optional) 1 teaspoon Honey Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir to make a sticky dough. Spread dough out in an even layer on well greased aluminum foil in a small pan. Cook for about 25 mminutes in a 350 degree preheated oven. Score the cookies while warm. When cool transfer to a sealable container and store in the refrigerator. Each of my girls got to have 1 cookie and all asked for another!
