In my one litter with a singleton puppy, I would get him out of the box and put him on his back in my lap. I would then exercise his legs, gently pulling them together. I would also make him mad by putting him in positions that he did not like to make him work his legs so that he had to get himself out of that position. I did all these things several times a day. Another thing I did were like tickle his tummy, causing him to kick his legs, gently pull him up by his front legs and also when I found him on his stomach, I rolled him on his side. Sometime I would hold him on his feet and try to get him to stand. By the time he was 4 weeks old he was on his feet and seemed fine.
