Just have to share this wonderful news. As some of you know, this year
I've returned to my roots...German Shepherd Dogs.
I have a gorgeous bitch puppy, a young male who is also gorgeous but
whose brain doesn't work yet, and some great friends of mine offered me
a co-ownership on an AM/CAN Champion dog who was Winners Dog and Select
at the 2000 National Specialty, and Select again in 2001 and also Select
in Canada.
It is my great pleasure to share the news with you all that my
co-owned dog, Marquin's XtraXtra, OFA hips and elbows, was today
awarded the title of Canadian Grand Victor at the German Shepherd Dog
Club of Canada's National Specialty.
I was on the phone with someone there as it happened...such an
emotional win! I wouldn't have believed I could get so excited while
I'm sitting here at home--but I did!
Scoop is a wonderful dog, and I was thrilled to become part of his
career...with his previous wins at the American Nationals he became part
of Shepherd history...with his win today, he has ensured his place
there. I'm so happy to be even a teensy part of it, you can't imagine!

The American National is next month.......can't wait!

P.S. For those of you who don't know...Grand Victor is a German
Shepherd title...means best male in show. And then, Scoop won the
Breed. And the competition was MIGHTY tough...there were some
spectacular dogs there...bitches, too.
My puppy girl's sire was also a Select--very nice!
(Select is the GSD way of saying "award of merit.")
