Annette, Don't worry he is only flexing his wings. You gave him the tools to make his life work and he needs to test them out. He seems fearless! Enjoy his fearless flight. It will make him a more confident man upon his return with tails of adventures to tell.
My daughter is now 31 almost 32 and I can look back on her adventures with a little wisdom. A nice glass of wine and dinner conversation when he returns with those tails of adventure. Oh don't forget to explore the wine cabinet before he returns.
