I did PennHIP and OFA on 3 of my dogs.  One of them is documented on the
Premier Site at www.premiercavaliersite.net .  I found no correlation in
PennHIP score vs. OFA rating or even what the hips looked like to me and my
vet after doing all 3 dogs.

My thinking on PennHIP is twofold.

1.  I think it is more meaningful for larger dogs than smaller dogs as to
the likelihood that dog will develop hip dysplasia.

2.  I think it may be useful as a guide over many years and many
generations, but doesn't help as much as OFA from one generation to the
next.

And certainly it is nearly useless when so few Cavaliers have had PennHIP
done.
