Hi Peggy. This fascinates me to. I did my first parti to wholecolour breedings only a few years ago so don't have very much experience but I bred a black and tan girl to a blenheim boy. I'm not sure of the colours behind the B/T (Karen, I see your name on the list membership. What colours are behind Shannon?) but the blenheim is all parti. I got two solid B/Ts. The boy was definitely what I was looking for...a a parti colour expression in a B/T coat. The girl is very pretty but with a little more refined head. I bred her to a blenheim with no wholecolour behind and felt pretty confident that I would get mismarked B/Ts or blenheims. In fact I got two rubies and two tris. Go figure. Not at all what I expected but, like you, colour is no never mind. Now I'm off to take another look at John Evans book. BTW, I have been asked by so many people, including the judge who gave the boy a group 3 the other week, for photos of this lad that I have it scanned in so if you, or anyone, would like to take a look at what this breeding produced for me I'd be happy to email it to you if you wish.
